Sutton Apps is a New York company founded by three people from very different fields — trial law, the physical sciences, and computer science and philosophy — who share a belief that good tools come from understanding the work intimately.
A longtime trial attorney with extensive litigation experience in federal court. The friction of preparing briefs, exhibits, and the cross-references that tie them together — by hand, late at night, before a filing deadline — is what Case Linker was built to remove. The product comes from real practice, not a guess at what lawyers need.
An undergraduate at Columbia College, Columbia University, entering his senior year with a double major in astrophysics and history. He brings the quantitative rigor of the sciences and the careful reading of the humanities to how Sutton Apps' software is built and explained.
An undergraduate at Barnard College, Columbia University, entering her junior year with a double major in computer science and philosophy. She helped build Case Linker and is developing the next product Sutton Apps will bring to the App Store, pairing engineering with a philosopher's eye for how software should reason and behave.
